Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are an identifier management and forwarding optimization method and apparatus in a large-scale multi-modal network. The method comprises the following steps: S1: constructing a multi-modal backbone network; S2: performing modal identifier management; S3: determining a modality to be forwarded; S4: configuring a flow table for switching nodes; S5: a balancing distributor receiving a packet, and preliminarily parsing same to obtain the type of the packet; step S6: performing parsing to obtain key field information in the packet, determining, according to the key field information, a switching node to be distributed, and transmitting the key field information to the corresponding switching node; and S7: the switching node matching the key field information with the stored flow table to determine a correct forwarding action. According to the present invention, modal identifiers used for routing in a multi-modal network are named and managed, and the scale of flow tables is controlled to adapt to a large-scale multi-modal network. Programmable switching nodes form a switching cluster, ingress traffic is pre-distributed, and the forwarding speed is increased.
