Abstract:
A coating of specific embodiments of the present invention. The coating is formed from the plasma polymerization of an olefin monomer, wherein the olefin monomer is composed of a carbon-carbon double bond structure and a saturated chain group which is positioned on the carbon-carbon double bond and which is selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group and a hydrophilic end group, there are at least two saturated chain groups having a hydroxy, carboxyl, or amino hydrophilic end group, and the saturated chain groups are respectively located on the two carbon atoms of the olefin double bond. The coating formed from the plasma polymerization of the olefin monomer employing the structure described above has outstanding wear resistance while demonstrating exceptional hydrophilic performance, minimal color difference, and excellent light transmittance, and is therefore highly suitable as a hydrophilic anti-fog coating.
