Abstract:
This hub unit with steering function comprises: a hub unit body having a hub bearing (15) that supports a rear wheel (9R); a unit-supporting member (3), provided to the rear wheel suspension, that supports the hub unit body so as to be rotatable around a wheel turning axis that extends in the vertical direction; and a steering actuator (5) that rotationally drives the hub unit body around the wheel turning axis. An intersection point (Pt) between the wheel turning axis and the road surface is disposed rearward, as viewed from above the vehicle, of the line of action of the cornering force at the maximum rear wheel sideslip angle at which the rear wheel (9R) does not slip.
