Title:
HIGH-EFFICIENCY COMPOSITE COOLER EMPLOYING FORCED AND INDUCED DRAFT FAN WITHOUT WATER SPRAYING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/123633
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A high-efficiency composite cooler employing a forced and induced draft fan without water spraying combines an air-cooling finned tube bundle and an evaporation-cooling smooth tube bundle. The cooler is characterized in that the fan is disposed in the interior between the finned tube bundle and the smooth tube bundle so as to draw and blow air, and an annular water container is disposed in a recess arranged at a waist portion of an air drum and configured to inject water to a wire mesh on the surface of the smooth tube. The wire mesh that has absorbed water maintains a thin water film and continuously performs high-efficiency evaporation heat exchange, such that the temperature of the water film is closer to the ambient wet bulb temperature than a conventional composite cooler, thereby increasing a heat transfer temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the tube. The cooler of the present invention does not use water spraying, and thus does not require a spray pump or a water collector, such that air resistance and energy consumption are reduced. Since water spraying is not used, no suspended droplets are present, thereby saving water while eliminating mist, and preventing noise produced by water spraying. The fan is disposed in the interior and surrounded by the air drum and the annular water container, and tube bundles are arranged above and below the fan, thereby achieving sound insulation and noise reduction.
