A heat pump water heater, comprising a water tank assembly and a heat pump device. The water tank assembly comprises a first housing, a water tank body and a mounting plate, wherein the water tank body is arranged inside the first housing, and the mounting plate is arranged at one end of the first housing in an axial direction. The heat pump device is located at the top of the water tank assembly, and comprises an evaporator, a compressor, a fan assembly and a second housing, wherein the second housing is detachably connected to the mounting plate, and the evaporator, the compressor and the fan assembly are located in an accommodating cavity, which is formed by means of the second housing and the mounting plate. One of the second housing and the mounting plate is provided with at least one accommodating portion, and the other one of the second housing and the mounting plate is provided with at least one first snap-fitting portion, which is fitted in the accommodating portion, so as to make the second housing be connected to the mounting plate.
