Abstract:
Provided is a hair removal device that performs hair removal treatment by means of light radiated from a light source, the device including: a light source unit including the light source; an irradiation-position controlling mechanism that guides the light radiated from the light source unit to an intended irradiation position; an image acquisition unit that is capable of acquiring an image of a predetermined region that includes the light radiated towards the intended irradiation position; and an irradiation-position displacement amount detection unit that detects an irradiation-position displacement amount between the intended irradiation position and an actual irradiation position of the light, wherein the position to which the light is guided by means of the irradiation-position controlling mechanism is corrected by using the irradiation-position displacement amount detected by the irradiation-position displacement amount detection unit.
