Abstract:
Provided is a β glucan ester derivative with which preferable water resistance and heat resistance are obtained and both rigidity and flexibility can be achieved. This β glucan ester derivative having a C3 acyl group and a C6-C8 acyl group is a β-1,3-glucan ester derivative or a β-1,4-glucan ester derivative, and has a bending strength of at least 8 MPa at 80ºC and a bending elastic modulus of at least 250 MPa at 80ºC.
