Abstract:
A glass plate manufacturing method that comprises: a first cutting step for cutting a glass ribbon G, which is conveyed while being molded, by a first cutter 2 to cut out a glass plate; a second cutting step for cutting the glass ribbon G by a second cutter 3 when the first cutter 2 is not in operation; and a first detection step for detecting the presence or absence of the glass ribbon G by a first sensor 30. A switching step is performed for switching the first cutting step to the second cutting step on the basis of the detection result in the first detection step.
