A freeze-drying method for Rosmarinus officinalis, comprising the following steps: 1) harvesting of Rosmarinus officinalis, 2) fresh-keeping cleaning of Rosmarinus officinalis, 3) preliminary natural drying, 4) crushing of Rosmarinus officinalis, 5) oven drying, 6) pre-freezing, and 7) freeze drying. In the freeze-drying method, the preparation process is adjusted, and compared with the prior art, a fresh-keeping cleaning solution and a freeze-drying protective agent which are self-developed are added, so that natural effective compositions of Rosmarinus officinalis can be reserved to the maximum extent; and furthermore, the composition of an extracting solution for extracting the Rosmarinus officinalis essential oil from Rosmarinus officinalis is improved. Compared with the prior art, the use amount of an organic solvent is greatly reduced, almost no ethanol residue exists in the final product; and meanwhile, the freeze-drying process is short, energy conservation and emission reduction are achieved, and the cost reduction effect is remarkable.
