Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a technology that can minimize the manufacturing cost of a system that sends video signals via a plurality of transmission channels. [Solution] Provided is a frame generation device comprising: an image division unit that, where horizontal pixel numbers in a video signal are integers from 0 to N-1 and vertical line numbers in the video signal are integers from 0 to M-1, obtains a plurality of division signals by performing a division operation on a pixel group included in a line with the vertical line number 2m and a pixel group included in a line with the vertical line number (2m+1), for all integers m that satisfy the expression 0≤m≤(M/2)-1, said division operation being performed on the basis of color format information for the video signal; and a frame generation unit that generates a plurality of frames, each of said frames including a different one of the plurality of division signals.
