Abstract:
A folding device according to an embodiment of the present invention can fold a terrace of a pouch-type battery cell. The folding device may comprise: a pair of clamping parts that face each other with the terrace therebetween; and a folding mechanism that folds the terrace from outside the pair of clamping parts. The clamping parts may each comprise: a main body that rotates about a rotation axis parallel to the terrace; a first protrusion portion that protrudes from one side of the main body and clamps the terrace; and a second protrusion portion that protrudes from the other side of the main body and clamps the terrace from inside the first protrusion portion when the main body rotates.
