Abstract:
A focusing device, comprising: a first tube and a second tube, the second tube comprising a hole defining surface shaped to define a hole, the first tube extending into the hole, and an optical element being coupled to and moving with one of the first tube and the second tube; and a plurality of rolling members, wherein each of a plurality of slots or grooves is provided with at least one rolling member to come into contact with an outer surface of the first tube and the hole defining surface of the second tube. The rolling movement of the rolling members in the respective slots or grooves in a longitudinal direction along the outer surface of the first tube and the hole defining surface of the second tube facilitates the relative movement between the first tube and the second tube.
