Provided is a foamed molded body manufacturing method that can improve the mass manufacturing efficiency of a high-foaming polyethylene-based foamed molded product.　The present invention provides a foamed molded body manufacturing method, wherein the foamed molded body has an expansion ratio of 2.0 times or greater, and the method comprises a loading step, a parison formation step, and a molding step. During the loading step, a feedstock resin is loaded into an interior space of a cylinder of an extruder via a hopper. During the parison formation step, a foaming agent-including resin, which is in a molten state and has been obtained by molten kneading of the feedstock resin and a foaming agent in the interior space, is extruded from a head to form a foamed parison. During the molding step, a mold is used to mold the foamed parison and form a foamed molded body. The feedstock resin includes 50 mass% or more of a polyethylene-based resin. The feedstock resin includes a ground material that was manufactured by using a grinder to grind a foamed body, and said foamed body is formed from a resin including 50 mass% or more of a polyethylene-based resin and has an expansion ratio of 2.0 times or more. The grinder is configured so as to discharge the ground material from the grinder via openings that are provided in a screen mesh, and the openings have diameters of 8.0 mm or less.
