Title:
FLASH LIDAR SENSOR USING ZOOM HISTOGRAMMING TDC
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/038417
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a flash LiDAR sensor using a zoom histogramming time-to-digital converter (TDC). One aspect of the present invention is a LiDAR sensor comprising a plurality of pixels, wherein each of the plurality of pixels includes a TDC using a histogram method, the TDC performs a histogram operation by using M/2 up-down counters (UDCs), the TDC divides an object to be measured into M time bins, and each of the M time bins is allocated to correspond to either an up count or a down count of the M/2 UDCs.
