Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a flapping device that is compact and that is capable of providing a large moving force. [Solution] A flapping device 1 comprises blades 2, 2 and a pair of drive units 3, 3 provided to correspond to the blades 2, 2, wherein each drive unit 3 comprises: a first drive source 30U; a second drive source 30D; a first driven unit 10U which pivots about a first pivot axis by means of the first drive source 30U; a second driven unit 10D which pivots about a second pivot axis by means of the second drive source 30D; a first urging member 40U for urging the first driven unit 10U in the opposite direction to a pivoting direction of the first driven unit 10U; a second urging member 40D for urging the second driven unit 10D in the opposite direction to the pivoting direction of the second driven unit 10D; and a control unit 60. Each blade 2 comprises: a first blade shaft 20 which is connected to the first driven unit 10U and which is capable of pivoting about a third pivot axis that intersects the first pivot axis; a second blade shaft 21 which is connected to the second driven unit 10D and which is capable of pivoting about a fourth pivot axis that intersects the second pivot axis; and a blade main body 22.
