CLAIMS A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement used in patients receiving insulin therapy due to the diagnosis of diabetes, characterized in that it comprises; a ring-shaped fixation element fixed to the patient's arm (10), an external body (20) located on the fixation element (10) and equipped with an electronic circuit,

A medicine chamber (30) in which the insulin is kept on the external body (20), needle holder (40) located on the rear surface of the external body (20 and holding the injection needle, needle release button (50) located on the external body (20) and allowing the needle to be removed from the needle holder (40), on-off button (60) on the external body (20) that enables the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement to be opened and closed, dosage increase button (70) located on the external body (20), which allows increasing the dose of insulin to be applied to the patient, dosage reduction button (80) located on the external body (20), which allows reducing the dose of insulin to be administered to the patient,

Screen (90) showing the insulin dose to be administered over the external body (20). A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement according to Claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a loudspeaker (100) located on the said external body (20) and which informs the patient audibly of the level of insulin to be administered and when the injection is finished. A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement according to Claim 1, characterized in that it comprises at least one clip (11) located on said fixation element (10) and enables the fixing element (10) to be adjusted on the arm. A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement according to Claims 1 or 3, characterized in that the said fixation element (10) is rubber. A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement according to Claim 1, characterized in that the said needle holder (40), on-off button (60), dosage increase button (70), and dosage decrease button (80) are in the form of a protruding embossment. A fixed diabetes insulin arrangement according to Claim 1, characterized in that said external body (20), battery chamber (110) with a battery on it that meets the energy needs of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement.

FIXED DIABETES INSULIN ARRANGEMENT

Technical Field

The invention is related to a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement used in patients receiving insulin therapy due to the diagnosis of diabetes.

The invention is particularly related to a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement that enables Type- 1 and Type-2 diabetes patients to make the injection accurately and without loss of dosage without the need for help by themselves while applying insulin to their arm, and to increase the comfort of injection and provide effective blood sugar control.

The State of the Art

Diabetes has become a global problem due to its prevalence. The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that 382 million adults worldwide have diabetes. It is estimated that the disease, whose incidence has reached epidemic proportions, will affect 592 million people by 2035. The present data shows that there are approximately 7 million diabetic patients between the ages of 20-79 in Turkey, and this figure corresponds to approximately 15% of the total adult population.

The only administration form of insulin commonly used in the treatment of diabetes patients is by injection. Individuals apply their daily treatments (1-4 times) as a subcutaneous injection through an insulin pen. The application is made at an angle of 90 degrees to the skin. Insulin administration can be made from different regions such as the abdomen, thigh, upper arm, and hip. The most common rotation area preferred by individuals in their daily treatments is the upper arm. Insulin administered from the upper arm with an insulin pen causes some problems, especially in the elderly. These problems are dose loss and tissue damage caused by the inability to administer the injection correctly and effectively. Because the patient needs another person to apply the commonly used insulin pens, and at the same time, they cannot administer the insulin at the right angle, causing tissue damage due to the vibrating of the pen as it hurts more. For this reason, the required dose of insulin cannot be taken into the body and there are problems with the treatment. Accordingly, in the state of the art, a need has arisen for a structure that allows diabetic patients to make injections correctly without the need for help while administering insulin.

The document numbered TR2016/13050 can be shown as an example of the state of the art in the research conducted in the literature. The mentioned document is about the insulin pen. The present invention discloses a needle, a cartridge chamber connected by this needle and arranged to receive at least one insulin cartridge, a plunger that ensures that the appropriate dose of insulin is injected into the patient by applying pressure on the cartridge in this cartridge chamber on the horizontal axis and an insulin pen comprising stabilizer support arranged to hold this assembly. The said insulin pen is of electronic type and differs from the normal insulin pen in that it contains stabilizer support.

The document numbered 2018/20021 can be shown as another example of the state of the art. Said document is related to the insulin regulator. In the said invention, an insulin regulation device has been introduced that automatically adjusts the dose of the insulin needle that individuals with Type 1 diabetes have to use daily, via software.

The document numbered CN214596703 can be shown as another example of the state of the art. The said document is related to an insulin injection pen with a buzzer function. The said injection pen comprises an injection pen tube, a piston rod, a pen cap, an injection pen refill, an injection needle structure, a speaker system, a battery, a speaker hole, a rubber plunger, a needle tube, a needle tube fixing lever, and a key. The audible warning device is attached to the pen cap tip of the pen (the tip that can be pulled open during use) for insulin injection and the patient is asked how to use the pen correctly.

The document numbered CN206391304 can be shown as another example of the state of the art. The said document is related to an insulin injection pen with an adjustable syringe needle. In the present invention, it allows patients to self-inject into the hip or arm via audio prompts.

As a result, the existence of the above problems and the insufficiency of the existing solutions made it necessary to make an improvement in the related technical field.

The Object of the Invention The present invention is related to a fixed diabetes insulin configuration, which eliminates the disadvantages mentioned above and brings new advantages to the related technical field.

The main object of the invention is to put forth a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement that enables Type-1 and Type-2 diabetes patients to make the injection accurately and without loss of dosage without the need for help while applying insulin to their arm.

The object of the invention is to provide a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement that can be fixed to the patient's arm with a rubber band, enabling the patient to self-administer the insulin effectively without difficulty, shaking, and loss of dosage.

Another object of the invention is to provide a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement that allows the insulin injection to be fixed to the application area without pressing the pen.

Another object of the invention is to provide a stable diabetes insulin arrangement that prevents dosage loss and tissue damage.

Another object of the invention is to provide a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement that provides effective blood sugar control by increasing injection comfort.

Another object of the invention is to provide a stable diabetes insulin structure suitable for all application areas by allowing insulin to be applied to other insulin administration rotation areas such as the abdomen, thighs and hips in addition to the upper arm region.

In order to achieve all the objectives stated above and which may arise from the detailed explanation, the invention is a fixed diabetes insulin arrangement used in patients receiving insulin therapy due to the diagnosis of diabetes, comprising; a ring-shaped fixation element fixed to the patient's arm, an external body located on the fixation element and equipped with an electronic circuit, a medicine chamber in which the insulin is kept on the external body, needle holder located on the rear surface of the external body and holding the injection needle, needle release button located on the external body and allowing the needle to be removed from the needle holder, on-off button on the external body that enables the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement to be opened and closed, dosage increase button located on the external body, which allows increasing the dose of insulin to be applied to the patient, dosage reduction button located on the external body, which allows reducing the dose of insulin to be administered to the patient, screen showing the insulin dose to be administered over the external body.

The structural and characteristic features of the invention, as well as all the advantages, will be understood more clearly by means of the figures below and the detailed description given by referencing these figures. Therefore, the evaluation made should be made in consideration of these figures and the detailed description.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, preferred alternatives of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject and without any limiting effect.

In Figures 1 and 2, the views of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement of the invention are given. Accordingly, the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement in its most basic form comprises a ring-shaped fixation element (10) fixed to the arm of the patient, an external body (20) located on the fixation element (10) and equipped with an electronic circuit, a medicine chamber (30) in which the insulin is stored in the external body (20), a needle holder (40) holding the injection needle on the rear surface of the external body (20), a needle removal button (50) on the external body (20) that enables the needle to be removed from the needle holder (40), an on-off button (60) that enables the opening and closing of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement on the external body (20), a dosage increase button (70), which is located on the external body (20) and allows to increase the dose of insulin to be administered to the patient, a dosage decrease button (80), located on the external body (20) and which enables the dose of insulin to be applied to the patient to be reduced, a screen (90) showing the dose of insulin to be administered over the external body (20), and a loudspeaker (100) that audibly informs the patient on the degree of insulin to be administered over the external body (20) and when the injection is finished, battery chamber (110) with a battery on it that meets the energy needs of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement.

The fixation element (10), which provides the fixation of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement of the invention to the patient's arm is in the form of a ring and is preferably a rubber. There is at least one clip (11) on the fixation element (10) that enables the fixation element (10) to be adjusted on the arm.

There is an external body (20) equipped with an electronic circuit on the fixation element (10). Inside the said external body (20), there is a medicine chamber (30) in which the insulin is stored. On the rear surface of the external body (20), there is a needle holder (40) that holds the injection needle that allows the insulin in the drug reservoir to be injected into the patient. Said needle holder (40) is in the form of an outwardly protruding embossment for visually impaired patients. The needle is removed from the needle holder (40) by means of the needle removal button (50) located on the external body (20).

On the external body (20) equipped with an electronic circuit, there is an on-off button (60) that enables the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement to be switched on and off by the patient. At the same time, by means of the dosage increase button (70) and dosage decrease button (80) located on the external body (20), it is ensured that the insulin dose to be administered to the patient is increased or decreased. Said on-off button (60), dosage increase button (70), and dosage decrease button (80) are in the form of protruding embossment for visually impaired patients. The insulin dose to be administered is displayed on the screen (90) on the external body (20).

Suitable for the use of visually impaired patients, the level of insulin to be administered and the time when the injection is finished are notified audibly via the loudspeaker (100) located on the external body (20).

The working principle of the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement of the invention is as follows;

Type-1 and Type-2 diabetes patient fixes the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement on their arm by attaching the fixation element (10) to the arm and adjusting it by means of the clip (11). They turn on the fixed diabetes insulin arrangement by means of the on-off button (60) and adjust the insulin dose to be administered via the area dosage increase button (70) and dosage decrease button (80). They can see the insulin dose to be administered on the screen (90) and/or learn audibly from the loudspeaker (100).

Insulin flowing from the medicine chamber (30) to the needle in the needle holder (40) is applied to the patient's arm at the right angle. The information that the injection process has been completed is announced audibly from the loudspeaker (100).
