Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of terminals, and provides a fingerprint recognition method and an electronic device. According to the present application, an electronic device triggers fingerprint recognition in a first fingerprint recognition mode and fingerprint recognition in a second fingerprint recognition mode in parallel in response to a received input fingerprint, so that both the fingerprint recognition accuracy and the fingerprint recognition efficiency of the electronic device are achieved, thereby improving the use experience of users. The method comprises: in response to a received input fingerprint, an electronic device verifies the input fingerprint by means of a first fingerprint recognition mode and a second fingerprint recognition mode; then, according to a first fingerprint recognition result determined by means of the first fingerprint recognition mode and/or a second fingerprint recognition result determined by means of the second fingerprint recognition mode, determining a verification result, the verification result being used for indicating whether the input fingerprint passes the verification; and according to the verification result, determining whether to execute an operation on the electronic device.
