Abstract:
A fiber reinforced copper-based brake pad for a high-speed railway train, comprising metal powder in a mass percentage of 80-98.5%, non-metal powder in a mass percentage of 1-15%, and a fiber component in a mass percentage of 0.5-5%. Granular graphite powder and flake graphite powder in the non-metal powder, and chromium powder and high-carbon chromium iron powder in the metal powder are added in proportion. The fiber component is fibers of different properties mixed for use. Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing the brake pad: uniformly mixing powders in proportion, performing cold pressing forming, and then performing hot pressing sintering, to obtain a copper-based powder metallurgical brake pad. Also disclosed is a method for testing the friction braking performance of the brake pad: the obtained brake pad is subjected to friction braking performance test according to a braking process of three stages, i.e., low-pressure low-speed, high-pressure high-speed, and high-pressure high-speed continuous emergency braking. The test method can reflect the friction braking performance of the copper-based powder metallurgical brake pad for high-speed railway train braking. The brake pad has the advantages of high friction coefficient, stable friction coefficient, small attenuation, low abrasion loss, and small damage to the brake disc at high speed. Also disclosed are manufacturing and friction braking performance.
