Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a fault information notification method and a related device thereof, which are used for solving the problem of the recovery time being excessively long due to it not being possible for a fault to rapidly spread during a service interruption. The method in the embodiments of the present application is executed by a first network device, and the first network device comprises a first port and a second port. The method comprises: after a first fault is detected at a first port, generating a first fault notification by means of the first port; and sending, by means of a second port, a first bit stream generated by the first port, wherein the first bit stream carries the first fault notification, which is written according to a preset definition.
