Abstract:
A fastener chain (10, 10a) according to the present invention comprises left and right fastener stringers (11). Each fastener stringer (11) has a fastener tape (12) and an element row (20). The element row (20) is formed from a coil-shaped fastener element (21). The fastener tape (12) has an element attachment part (13) and a tape bend part (14) which extends from the element attachment part (13) and is bent in substantially a U-shape. In each fastener stringer (11), a restricting member (30) is provided in contact with the tape bend part (14). Each restricting member (30) is formed by deforming a wire-like member and has a part (32, 34, 61) where the wire-like member extends in the direction in which the height dimension of the entire restricting member (30) increases. Thus, it is possible to make it unlikely that the element rows (20) will be seen from the outer surface side of the fastener, even if a strong lateral pulling force is applied to the fastener tape (12) when the element rows (20) are in an engaged state.
