Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are an ESC activation method and apparatus for an intelligent driving vehicle. The method comprises: after a vehicle enables an intelligent driving function, acquiring an ESC activation probability; when the ESC activation probability is greater than a preset latch interval, outputting a pre-exit signal and an early-warning signal for an ADS, wherein the pre-exit signal is used for instructing the ADS to maintain the stability of a traveling state of the vehicle, and the early-warning signal is used for prompting a driver to take over the vehicle; acquiring a stability parameter of the vehicle, wherein the stability parameter is used for representing a stability characteristic of the traveling state of the vehicle; and when the stability parameter meets an ESC activation condition, activating an ESC. In the present application, when it is determined that an ESC activation probability is greater than a latch interval, a pre-exit signal and an early-warning signal are output, such that a driver is early warned in advance, so as to prompt the driver to take over a vehicle; and when the stability of a traveling state of the vehicle is maintained by means of an ADS and when it is determined that a stability parameter meets an ESC activation condition, an ESC is activated, such that a certain reaction time can be afforded to the driver, thereby reducing the safety risk of the driver subsequently taking over the vehicle.
