An environmentally friendly corner protector structure for packaging, comprising a corner protector body (1) which may be folded in half, wherein the corner protector body (1) consists of a vertical guard plate (2) and a horizontal guard plate (3); a folding edge line (4) is formed between the vertical guard plate (2) and the horizontal guard plate (3); a clamping butt joint part I (5) is provided on the vertical guard plate (2) near the folding edge line (4); a clamping butt joint part II (6) is provided on the horizontal guard plate (3) near the folding edge line (4); the clamping butt joint part I (5) and the clamping butt joint part II (6) are arranged in the same side direction of the corner protector body (1); and once the vertical guard plate (2) and the horizontal guard plate (3) are folded in half by means of the folding edge line (4), the clamping butt joint part I (5) and the clamping butt joint part II (6) are correspondingly clamped to make the corner protector body (1) form an L-shaped structure. The problems that existing corner protector structures have insufficient connection strength, are not environmentally friendly, and provide inadequate protection are solved.
