Abstract:
This engine system comprises: an engine which is driven by methane as a fuel; a supercharger which supplies air to the engine by being driven by emission gas discharged from an exhaust section of the engine; a discharge pipe through which emission gas discharged from the supercharger passes; a first oxidation processing unit into which emission gas is introduced via the discharge pipe and in which a first methane oxidation catalyst is housed; a supercharger bypass pipe which causes a portion of the emission gas discharged from the exhaust section to bypass the supercharger and merge into the discharge pipe; and a second oxidation processing unit which is provided in the middle of the supercharger bypass pipe and in which a second methane oxidation catalyst is housed.
