Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to an encoding method, an image encoder, and an image transmission system. The encoding method comprises: processing original image data to obtain at least two different sets of output images; performing multi-data rate encoding on the at least two sets of output images to form at least two corresponding sets of encoded data so as to support at least two types of service requirements. The encoding method utilizes multi-data rate encoding, uses different encoding policies for different service requirements, and can simultaneously handle different service requirements, which allows for smoother service implementation.
