Abstract:
An electronic device, according to various embodiments disclosed in the present document, comprises: a communication module which establishes a communicative connection with at least one external electronic device; and a processor operatively connected to the communication module. The processor may be configured to: receive a first sample identification (ID) corresponding to first sample data and a second sample ID corresponding to second sample data that the external electronic device collects; identify a first time corresponding to the reception time of the first sample ID and a second time corresponding to the reception time of the second sample ID; receive, from the external electronic device, sensor data which at least includes the first sample data and the second sample data and includes a plurality of pieces of sample data other than the first sample data and the second sample data; calculate a required time which is a time interval between the first sample data and the second sample data on the basis of the first time and the second time; and calculate sampling period information of the sensor data on the basis of the calculated required time and the plurality of pieces of sample data other than the first sample data and the second sample data.
