Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment disclosed in the present document may comprise a communication circuit, a memory, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: receive a speech input corresponding to a user utterance from a first external device through the communication circuit; from the speech input, recognize a session corresponding to the user utterance, a user intent, and information related to at least one second external device related to an operation corresponding to the user intent; on the basis of context information related to a pre-stored user utterance history, update at least one of the user intent and the information related to the at least one second external device; generate an instruction for execution of the operation, on the basis of the user intent and the information related to the at least one second external device; and update the context information on the basis of the session, the user intent, and the information related to the at least one second external device. Various other embodiments identified through the specification are also possible.
