Abstract:
An electronic device, according to one embodiment, comprises: a first sensor module which detects a position; a second sensor module which detects or photographs an external environment; a memory which stores precise map data including absolute position coordinates of reference objects provided at specified distances on a road surface or in the vicinity of roads, wherein the absolute position coordinates of the reference objects include absolute position coordinate values for three or more vertices of the reference objects according to the absolute reference coordinate system; and a processor. The processor may: obtain current position coordinates of a vehicle by using the first sensor module; detect and photograph, by using the second sensor module, real objects corresponding to the reference objects so as to obtain images and obtain distances to the real objects; determine measured position coordinates of the real objects on the basis of the current position coordinates, the obtained distances, and the obtained images; and calibrate the first sensor module and the second sensor module on the basis of differences between the measured position coordinates and the absolute position coordinates.
