Abstract:
Disclosed is an electronic device. The electronic device comprises: a communication interface; a memory that stores area information corresponding to the electronic device in a space; and at least one processor. The processor: identifies location information about a remote control device on the basis of a signal received from the remote control device via the communication interface; transmits a request signal for pairing with the remote control device to a server when the identified location information is identified as corresponding to the area information; and performs pairing with the remote control device when the remote control device is converted to a pairing mode on the basis of the transmitted signal.
