Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electromagnetic wave control element for which variation in the reflectivity of electromagnetic waves within a plane is small. The problem is solved as a result of the present invention comprising, in the given order: a metasurface member including a metasurface structure in which multiple microstructures are arrayed; an intermediate layer disposed in contact with the metasurface member; and a liquid crystal film that is disposed in contact with the intermediate layer and that includes a liquid crystal layer for which the orientation of a liquid crystal compound is fixed.
