The present invention discloses an electrode for a lithium secondary battery, and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the adhesion between an electrode current collector and an electrode active material layer is enhanced so that the electrode active material layer can be prevented from being detached from the electrode current collector even when a crosslinking binder is included in the electrode active material layer. The electrode for a lithium secondary battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode current collector; an adhesion promoting layer disposed on at least one surface of the electrode current collector and containing a first binder and a first conductive material; and an electrode active material layer disposed on an upper surface of the adhesion promoting layer and containing an electrode active material, a second conductive material, and a second binder. The first binder and the second binder may include a binder polymer having a crosslinked structure.
