Abstract:
Disclosed are an electrode assembly (100) and a battery (200) with the electrode assembly (100). The electrode assembly (100) comprises a first pole piece (10), a second pole piece (20) and an isolating membrane (30), and the electrode assembly (100) is formed by winding the first pole piece (10), the isolating membrane (30) and the second pole piece (20). The electrode assembly (100) further comprises a first tab (40), a second tab (50) and a third tab (60), wherein the first tab (40) is arranged on the first pole piece (10), and the third tab (60) and the second tab (50) are arranged on the second pole piece (20). In the thickness direction of the electrode assembly (100), projections of the first tab (40), the second tab (50) and the third tab (60) are not overlapped. In the electrode assembly (100), a multi-tab structure is provided, and the parallel connection of multiple tabs is used for shunting, such that the aims of improving the overcurrent capacity of the battery (200) and reducing a temperature increase are achieved.
