Abstract:
A welding arm 10 is provided with a chip electrode 11, a holder 12, and a shank 20. The shank 20 as an electroconductive support member includes a Cu parent phase and a second phase including a Cu-Zr-based compound dispersed in the Cu parent phase, and is provided with: an external peripheral part 22 that is a Cu-xZr (x being the atomic% of Zr and satisfying 0.5 ≤ x ≤ 16.7) alloy composition; and an internal peripheral part 21 which is present on an internal peripheral side of the external peripheral part 22, is a metal including Cu, and has high electrical conductivity relative to the external peripheral part 22.
