Abstract:
An electrochemical device, comprising an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises a first electrode plate and a first tab group electrically connected to the first electrode plate, one end of the electrode assembly comprising a multiplexing area. The first electrode plate comprises a first area located at an end part of the first electrode plate and a second area connected to the first area, the thickness of the first area being smaller than the thickness of the second area, and the first area being arranged inside of the multiplexing area. The first tab group comprises a first connection part at one end part of the first tab and a first bent part connected to the first connection part and located at a lateral side of the electrode assembly, the first bent part being arranged inside of the multiplexing area. Also provided is an electronic device using the electrochemical device. The electrochemical device of the present application can enhance interface contact performance and reduce lithium plating risk, as well as fully utilize the internal space of the electrochemical device and improve energy density.
