Abstract:

The present disclosure addresses the problem of reducing the possibility of malfunction of component parts of a switching unit. An electric power tool (1) comprises a motor (3), a switching unit (8), a housing (2), an operating unit (5), and an interlocking unit (6). The motor (3) rotates a tip tool. The switching unit (8) turns on/off supply of electricity to the motor (3). The housing (2) accommodates the motor (3). The operating unit (5) is provided outside the housing (2) and, in response to an operation performed thereon, undergoes displacement between a first position and a second position. The interlocking unit (6) undergoes displacement between a third position and a fourth position in accordance with the displacement of the operating unit (5). The housing (2) accommodates the switching unit (8). The switching unit (8) turns off the supply of electricity to the motor (3) when the interlocking unit (6) is situated at the third position, and turns on the supply of electricity to the motor (3) when the interlocking unit (6) is situated at the fourth position.
