Abstract:
An autonomous electric power converter (2) according to the present invention converts electric power between a three-phase AC system (12) and a DC system (14). A transformer (13) is connected, on a primary side thereof, to the AC system (12), and is connected, on a secondary side thereof, to the autonomous electric power converter (2), the secondary side being Y-connected. This impedance switching circuit (50) is electrically connected between ground and a neutral point (62) on the secondary side of the transformer (13). The impedance switching circuit (50) is configured such that the impedance is lower when a line ground fault occurs in three-phase AC wiring (64) that connects the transformer (13) and the autonomous electric power converter (2) than when no line ground fault occurs.
