Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is enable operation of a desired function without causing a user to feel stress when an earphone device is worn in the ears. This earphone device 1 comprises a sound-emitting unit 10 that is worn in user's ears. The sound-emitting unit 10 is provided with: an antenna 171 for receiving an audio signal; a driver unit 16 for driving on the basis of the audio signal received by the antenna; and a battery 18 for storing power to be supplied to the antenna. The battery is charged when the sound-emitting unit is being accommodated in a charger. The sound-emitting unit is in a stopped state when the sound-emitting unit is accommodated in the charger 30, and is in an operating state when the sound-emitting unit is not being accommodated in the charger. Operational modes of the sound-emitting unit in the operating state include a first operational mode and a second operational mode. When the state of the sound-emitting unit has been switched from the stopped state to the operating state, the operational mode of the sound-emitting unit, a prescribed length of time after the switching, is the first operational mode.
