Abstract:
This drive control device for a solenoid saves energy and reduces thermal risk due to temperature rise. The drive control device 100 is configured for drive control of a solenoid which has a solenoid main body 22A that attracts a movable iron core 23A, wherein the solenoid main body 22A movably supports the movable iron core 23A so as to enable the movable iron core 23A to adopt an attraction position in which the movable iron core 23A has been attracted to the solenoid main body 22A and a non-attraction position in which the movable iron core 23A has not been attracted to the solenoid main body 22A. The device is provided with: a photointerrupter 28 which detects the state of the movable iron core 23A; and a current control unit 51 which controls the supply of current to the solenoid main body 22A depending on the detection results by the photointerrupter 28 in such a manner that, in a state in which the movable iron core 23A is in the non-attraction position or a nearby position, a drive current Imax is supplied to the solenoid main body 22A, and, in a state in which the movable iron core 23A is in the attraction position or a nearby position, a holding current Ih less than the drive current Imax is supplied to the solenoid main body 22A.
