Claims:
CLAIMS

1- A handle for an oven door comprising an elongated holding part (10) and a mounting bracket (20) engaging the rear face (16) of the holding part (10) from a front wall (24) and press on a flat panel (1) from a rear wall (22) characterized in that the mounting bracket (20) is aligned near a free end of the holding part (10) and a cap (30) is secured on a corresponding lateral wall (26) of the mounting bracket (20) from an opposite distal extension (34) such that covers a lateral part (14) of the holding part (10) from a proximal extension (32).

2- A handle according to claim 1 , wherein the cap (30) is made of a single piece.

3- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the proximal and distal extensions (32, 34) of the cap (30) follow each other in the form of a flat strip.

4- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein a leg (35) is guided linearly in a corresponding channel (29) on the lateral wall (26) provided in the inner side of the distal extension (34).

5- A handle according to claim 4, wherein the leg (35) is in T-like transverse section shape adjusted according to the channel (29) section.

6- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein a tab (37) that fits into a space in the lateral part (14) provided in the interior of the proximal extension (32) of the holding part (10).

7- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the lateral wall (26) of the mounting bracket (20) is aligned with the lateral part (14) of the holding part (10).

8- A handle according to claim 7, wherein the cap (30) is in the form of a flat plate disposed on the plane of the lateral part (14) and the lateral wall (26).

9- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein a pin (27) is passing through a hole (19) corresponding to the rear face (16) of the holding part (10) provided on the front wall (24) of the mounting bracket (20). 10- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the holding part (10) is in the structure of a hollow profile made from aluminum extrusion.

11- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the mounting bracket (20) is in a prismatic form narrower than the width of the holding part (10), and its front wall (24) directly adjoins the corresponding rear face (16).

12- A handle according to any one of the previous claims, wherein the holding part (10) is in the form of a bar, and a pair of mounting bracket (20) is arranged at the corresponding ends of the holding part (10).

A DOOR HANDLE FOR AN OVEN

TECHNICAL AREA

The invention relates to a multi-part handle adapted to a hinged cover for the oven.

BACKGROUND OF THE ART

There is a hinged door on the oven that covers an opening to the cooking chamber. A handle with a handle extending from one end to the other is fixed on the outer panel for easy opening of the cover by the user. The handle is generally of an elongated profile structure, providing easy grip. A connecting piece is used to mount the handle to an outer glass panel of the door. The mounting part is secured on the holding part on the one hand and screwed to the panel on the other hand. The opening is covered with a cover so that the lateral walls of the profile do not remain open. Both the fastener and the cover are mounted to the profile with the help of screws and rivets.

DE10303734B4 discloses a handle comprising a handle in the form of a bar and a fastener for attaching the handle to a machine element, in which a formation of the fastener provides shape fit engagement with the handle. The formation forms an outer surface of the handle. The handle has lateral surfaces that limit its maximum longitudinal extension, and the opening directly limits the lateral surfaces.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to provide a robust oven handle where the mounting bracket can be easily mounted on the cover.

To achieve the mentioned objective, the invention relates to a handle for an oven door comprising an elongated holding part and a mounting bracket engaging the rear face of the holding part from a front wall and press on a flat panel from a rear Wall. The mounting bracket is aligned near a free end of the holding part and the handle further comprises a cap secured on a corresponding lateral wall of the mounting bracket from an opposite distal extension such that covers a lateral part of the holding part from a proximal extension. The cover increases the structural integrity of the multi-part handle by being attached to both the mounting bracket and the holding part.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cover is in a single piece. In this way, both the distal and proximal extensions are provided in different two extensions of a single piece, and the cover is quickly mounted by being placed on the mounting bracket when it is mounted. In this way, it is possible to produce the cover in a single mold operation, for example, with a plastic injection method.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the proximal and distal extensions of the cover follow each other in the form of a flat strip. In this way, the cover takes up less space and can be easily produced with methods such as plastic injection. In alternative embodiments, the flat strip form can be flat as well as angular or curved like an S.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a leg that is guided linearly in a corresponding channel provided on the lateral wall in the interior of the distal extension. The leg enables the mounting of the cover to the mounting bracket from the distal extension. In the assembly or disassembly of the cover to the mounting bracket, the leg is scap in the channel and the distal extension is appropriately placed in the cover.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the leg has a T-like transverse section form adjusted according to the channel section. The T-section form enables the leg to progress linearly in a guided manner by entering the channel from one end, for example, from the rear wall, and prevents it from exiting the channel when pulled from the lateral wall.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a tab that fits into a space in the lateral part is provided in the interior of the proximal extension of the holding part. Thanks to the tab, the cover is first attached by passing over the lateral wall of the holding part and then the distal extension is placed on the lateral wall.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mounting bracket is aligned with the lateral part of the holding part. In this case, the cover covers both the distal and proximal parts in a flat manner, providing visual integrity.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cover is in the form of a flat plate located on the plane of the lateral part and the lateral wall. The flat plate form facilitates the mounting of the cover by reducing the pressure applied to the assembly area. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a pin is passing through a hole provided on the front wall of the mounting bracket and corresponding to the rear face of the holding part. Thanks to the pin, the alignment of the mounting bracket with the holding part is facilitated for assembly.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the holding part is in the structure of a hollow profile made from aluminum extrusion. In this case, it is possible to settle the cover on the mounting bracket from the distal part when the necessary dimensional tolerance precision is provided and the cover is placed on the lateral wall from the proximal part.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mounting bracket is in a prismatic form adjusted narrower than the width of the holding part, and its front wall is directly adjacent to the corresponding rear face. In this case, the mounting bracket is hidden from the front and the force is directly transferred to the mounting bracket, enabling the pulling of the cover. In such an application, it is also possible to connect the mounting bracket directly to the cover panel with a connection screw.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the holding part is in the form of a bar and the mounting bracket is set as a distant pair corresponding to each end of the holding part. In this case, the pulling force applied to the holding part is transferred to the cover from the opposite two edges without creating a moment, enabling the pulling force to overcome the closing force of the hinge. In addition, the visual integrity of the holding part and the mounting bracket is ensured by covering the lateral wall of each mounting bracket with the corresponding cover.

In this detailed description, the subject of the invention is explained with references to examples to better understand the topic, without any limitations on the development.

Figure 1 shows a representative assembly of the handle for an oven door from a rear perspective. The handle has a handle part (10) which is a bar-like structure made from hollow aluminum extrusion. Both ends of the handle part (10) form lateral sides (14) with their transversely cut structure. The cross-section of the handle part (10) is similar to a truncated rectangle with edges rounded outwards. The wide edge of the handle part (10) forms a front part (12). The narrow rear face (16) opposite to this is leaning directly onto a front wall (24) of a connection part (20) that is of the same width.

The connection part (20) is a single piece prismatic structure made from plastic injection. At both ends of the handle part (10), a connection part (20) has been secured. An outward facing lateral wall (26) of the connection part (20) is flat and is aligned in the same plane as the corresponding lateral side (14) of the handle part (10). A hole (19) and a cavity (17) have been opened respectively on the rear face (16) adjacent to and distanced from the lateral side (14) on the handle part (10). The rear wall (22) of the connection part (20) has a hollow form separated by springs and extends from the rear face (16) to the front part (12) through a sleeve (21) allowing passage of a screw. The front wall (24) of the connection part (20) has a concave structure and is fully engaged with the rear face (16) of the handle part (10).

A single piece flat and straight cover (30), produced by plastic injection, has been mounted on the handle to cover both the handle part (10) and the connection part (20) from the side. The cover (30) has a T-like form where the wide part forms a proximal extension (32) and the continuation of this forms a narrow part, the distal extension (34). An extension in the form of a tab (37) extends from the inside of the proximal extension (32) close to the periphery. The tab (37) is a part of the cover (30) and has a flexible structure. The tab (37) is passing from the outside to the lateral side (14) of the handle part (10) from the inner wall. To achieve this, the proximal extension (32) is pushed axially in the arrow direction towards the lateral side (14). The tab (37) contracts by flexing and settles in the lateral side (14) from the inner wall. There is a leg (35) located on the distal extension (34) of the cover (30), having a T-like section in a short inward extension structure. The leg (35) is adjacent from one end to the tab (37) and is extended at least to the middle of the distal extension (34).

Figure 2a shows the parts forming the handle from a rear perspective with the connection part disassembled. On the outward facing lateral wall (26) of the connection part (20), there is a linear channel (29) extending from the front wall (24) distantly to the rear wall (22). The channel (29) extends transversely within the connection part (20). The end of the channel (29) forms a slit-like mouth (28) and it is accessible from the lateral wall (26). After the proximal extension (32) of the cover (30) is mounted onto the handle part (10) by snap-fit, the connection part (20) is linearly scap so that the leg (35) passes through the corresponding channel (29). In this case, the front wall (24) leans on the rear face (16), ensuring the assembly of the handle part (10) and the connection part (20) from the side with its flat and planar structure. The lateral wall (26) of the connection part (20) is fully covered by the distal extension (34). In this situation, the distal extension (34) aligns with the periphery of the lateral wall (26). The thinned ankle part of the leg (35) is of equal size with the channel (29) and helps guide while the cover (30) is being scap towards the connection part (20).

Figure 2b shows the handle, with the connection part (20) assembled, mounted on an outer glass panel (1) of the oven door. The rear wall (22) of the connection part (20) is mounted to the panel (1) by passing a screw (not shown) through the sleeve (21). Thus, the flat rear wall (22) is tightly mounted to the panel (1) along the edge. The distal extension (34) of the cover

(30) is aligned adjacent end-to-end to the panel (1 ). As seen in Figure 1 , two identical connection parts (20) have been mounted on the two opposite ends of the handle part (10) symmetrically from their front walls (24). They are screwed from the rear wall (22) to the panel (1).

Figure 3a partially shows the handle from the back with only one connection part (20) visible. The thickness of the handle part (10) is chosen larger than the thickness of the connection part (20). Thus, when viewed from the front, the connection part (20) is hidden behind the handle part (10). The sleeve (21) to attach the screw is located between the inward-facing lateral wall (26) and the center in the connection part (20). Figure 3b shows the AA section. A pin (27) integrated on the connection part (20) extends into the corresponding hole (19) on the handle part (10). This ensures that the connection part (20) is mounted exactly aligning the lateral wall (26) to the lateral side (14). An expanded socket (25) is created at the front end of the sleeve (21 ) reaching the front wall (24). The socket (25) is aligned with a corresponding counter-opening (17), and a fastener, such as a rivet, is seated in between, locking the socket (25) on the opening (17). The tab (37) of the cover (30) extends onto the handle part (10) so that it seats into a protrusion at the mouth of the lateral side (14). In this situation, the proximal extension (32) completely and directly covers the lateral side (14) in an airtight manner. The leg (35) on the distal extension (34) of the cover (30) is placed from its wide part into the mouth (28) and fully closes the channel (29) as it proceeds from the throat of its wide part to the middle of the channel (29), as shown in the expanded image. In this case, the distal extension (34) fully and directly covers the corresponding lateral wall (26) of the connection part (20). The assembly of the handle is completed by fastening the proximal extension of the cover (30) to the handle part (10) and the distal extension (34) to the connection part (20).
