Abstract:
A distance measurement device 1 has: a storage unit 15 that stores reference information indicating a reference position in a golf course green and a plurality of edge positions on an edge of the green; a current position identification unit 161 that identifies a current position of the distance measurement device 1; a measurement unit 162 that measures a distance from the current position to a measured object and a direction of the measured object with respect to the current position; a measured object position identification unit 163 that identifies a measured object position, which is a position of the measured object, on the basis of the current position and the distance and direction measured by the measurement unit; and a display processing unit 165 that causes a display unit 14 to display a measurement result in a different mode depending on whether or not at least one edge position on a straight line connecting the reference position and the measured object position is present between the reference position and the measured object position.
