Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a display device for providing content, comprising a display, an audio device, a communication interface, a memory, and at least one processor for executing at least one instruction stored in the memory, wherein the at least one processor is operated in a first mode for controlling the display so as to display an image that corresponds to content and controlling the audio device so as to output sound that corresponds to the content, or in a second mode for controlling the display so as to display the image and controlling the communication interface so as to provide the sound through an external audio device connected to the display device, and controls, if a first control signal requesting the stop of sound provision through the external audio device is acquired during an operation in the second mode, the display so as to display the image and controls the communication interface so as to stop sound provision through the external audio device, and can mute the sound of which provision has been stopped.
