Abstract:
A device and a method for real-time inspection of fabric quality for a rapier loom. The device is installed between a winding roller (2) and a weft insertion mechanism (1) of the rapier loom, and comprises a support frame (3), a transmission structure (4), a positioning structure (7), an inspection structure (5) and a control system (6). The transmission structure (4), the inspection structure (4), the positioning structure (7) and the control system (6) are all mounted on the support frame (3). The inspection structure (5) is a hollow housing, which is provided with a feed port (15) on one side thereof and a discharge port (16) on the other side thereof. A fabric inspection slot (10) is provided between the feed port (15) and the discharge port (16). The fabric inspection slot (10) is provided with an imaging device (18) at a top portion thereof, and multiple spotlight structures (20) installed in parallel at a bottom portion thereof. Each spotlight structure (20) is formed by multiple spotlights (20-1) arranged in a straight line. By adding a device for inspecting fabric quality to a conventional rapier loom, the condition of fabric in continuous transmission is continually sent to the control system (6) owing to the integration of the imaging device (18) and the computer control system (6), and are compared with samples in the control system (6) to determine whether the fabric quality is acceptable, providing simple and easy operation.
