Abstract:
By repeatedly exciting a spindle of a machine tool in a predetermined frequency range, measuring a result of the excitation with an acceleration sensor and outputting peak values representing dynamic characteristics through an FFT operation, and comparing the peak values and determining whether the machine tool has deteriorated according to the degree of change of the peak values, automatic measurement using a device inside the machine tool, without separately installing a dynamic characteristic measuring device including an excitation device from the outside, in order to evaluate the degree of deterioration of the machine tool, is possible, and accordingly, the inconvenience and waste of cost associated with installing a dynamic characteristic measuring device in the machine tool is eliminated, and furthermore, problems of inaccuracy or inconsistency of manual measurement results are solved, and the reliability of the measurement results is increased, thus being beneficial in terms of machine tool maintenance management and lifetime management.
