A device for insertion of an inner cover (4) of a packaging box, comprising a lateral cylinder (1) and an insertion cylinder (7). A piston rod of the insertion cylinder (7) directly faces an opening at an end of a packaging box; a piston rod of the lateral cylinder (1) directly faces said opening from one side of the packaging box; an insertion push plate (9) moving into and out of said opening is provided at the bottom of the piston rod of the insertion cylinder (7). In the device for insertion of an inner cover (4) of a packaging box, the insertion cylinder (7) is provided to pre-bend the inner cover before the inner cover (4) is inserted, and after the inner cover (4) is inserted, the pre-bent inner cover (4) retracts after the insertion cylinder (7) is withdrawn, thereby avoiding a failure in insertion of the inner cover (4) due to the fact that the inner cover (4) is brought out from said opening of a box body while the insertion cylinder (7) is withdrawn. Compared with manual operation, the labor intensity is reduced, and the working efficiency is improved.
