Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for blocking airborne transmission of infectious diseases. The device comprises: an intake unit for suctioning droplets and aerosol discharged from a user's respiratory system, along with ambient air through a plurality of inlets formed through at least one surface of the box-shaped case; a purification unit installed to be connected to the intake unit to filter and sterilize the air containing the droplets and aerosols introduced into the box-shaped case, through a first connection pipe connected to the intake unit; and an exhaust unit installed to be connected to the purification unit to discharge the filtered and sterilized air containing the droplets and aerosols introduced through a second connection pipe connected to the purification unit, to the outside through a plurality of outlets formed through at least one surface of the box-shaped case, wherein the exhaust unit discharges the filtered and sterilized air containing the droplets and aerosols through the outlets while forming a vertical laminar flow in the direction of gravity.
