Abstract:
A cutting machine 10 comprises: a holding device 20 that holds a workpiece 1; a cutting device 50 that cuts the workpiece 1; a processing chamber 120 that houses the holding device 20; a drive device 30 that moves the holding device 20 in the X-direction; a drive device chamber 130 that is separated from the processing chamber 120 by a wall part 120R and has at least a portion of the drive device 30 disposed therein; and a dustproof plate 36. The drive device 30 is provided with a support part 31 for supporting the holding device 20, and moves the support part 31 in the X-direction. The wall part 120R separating the processing chamber 120 and the drive device chamber 130 has formed therein a slit 123 that extends in the X-direction and through which the support part 31 passes. The dustproof plate 36 is fixed to the support part 31. The dustproof plate 36 is provided so as to cover at least a portion of the slit 123, and moves together with the support part 31 in the X-direction.
