Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a customized lens according to a preform design and a bi-aspherical design of a convex surface (CC)/a concave surface (CV). The preform design is a lens design according to parameters for each individual, wherein at least one of the following parameters for each individual may be used: (1) vertex distance (CVD) that is the distance between the spectacle lens and the eye; (2) reading distance (RD) that is the distance between a book and the eyes; (3) monocular PD (MONO PD) that is the distance between the pupils; (4) axial length that is the length from the front to the back of the eyeball; (5) face form angle (FFA) that is the angle formed between the straight line drawn from the human eyebrow to the upper jaw and the horizontal line drawn from the external auditory foramen; (6) pantoscopic tilt (PT) that is the angle of the eyeglass frame that changes depending on the position of the nose and ears; (7) INSET that is the amount of convergence (the focus of the gaze lines of both eyes on one point in front of the eyes) according to the gaze distance from the distant portion to the near portion; and (8) optical center height (OH) that is the distance from the lower edge of the eyeglass frame to the pupil center in the vertical direction. The bi-aspherical design designs both myopic and astigmatic surfaces as aspherical surfaces in order to minimize distortion and reduce astigmatism and wearer maladaptation, and separately applies the addition power (diopters, Di) to the front CC and the rear CV at the near portion respectively.
