Abstract:
A cooling system RS comprises: a vacuum heat-insulating container 4; an object 3 to be cooled; a cryogenic refrigerator CR; a thermal-conductive connection part TC; a temperature sensor TS; current leads D1, D2; and a control unit PS. The temperature sensor is configured to detect the temperature of one of: the object to be cooled; a cold stage part; the thermal-conductive connection part; and the current leads. The control unit is configured to perform an operation stop process for stopping an operation of the cryogenic refrigerator when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor drops to a prescribed target cooling temperature during operation of the cryogenic refrigerator and an operation start process for starting the operation of the cryogenic refrigerator when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor has risen to a prescribed operation start temperature higher than the prescribed target cooling temperature during stoppage of the operation of the cryogenic refrigerator.
