Abstract:
A cooling member, according to one embodiment of the present invention, is mounted on a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, and comprises: a top plate; a bottom plate; a refrigerant contained in an internal space between the top plate and the bottom plate; and at least one of a top structure supporting the top plate and a bottom structure supporting the bottom plate, wherein the top plate and the bottom plate are formed of a material capable of melting or breaking when a thermal event of the battery cells occurs, and the top structure and the bottom structure are formed of a material which maintains rigidity when a thermal event of the battery cells occurs.
