Disclosed is a cooking apparatus comprising a hood formed integrally with a cooktop. The cooking apparatus comprises: a cooktop comprising a case, a top plate provided on the case so as to place a cooking vessel thereon, and an intake port provided on the top plate so as to suck in air around the top plate; a chamber located under the case; a connection duct comprising an inlet portion extending rearward from the chamber, and an outlet portion extending downward from the inlet portion; a fan which causes air to flow, and is disposed at the bottom of the outlet portion; a fan case extending in a vertical direction so as to accommodate the fan, wherein the fan is disposed within the fan case so as to rotate about a rotation axis extending in a frontward and rearward direction; and an exhaust duct which communicates with the fan case and discharges air to the outside, wherein the fan case comprises an intake connection part connectable to the connection duct and an exhaust connection part connectable to the discharge duct, and the fan case is configured such that the length thereof in the vertical direction is longer than the length thereof in the frontward and rearward direction.
