Abstract:
The invention relates to a convection device (1) for a workbench (2) having a workpiece receptacle (3) for a processing center (4), the convection device comprising at least the following components: - an inlet channel (5) for transportable temperature-control fluid (6); - a conveying unit (8) for actively transporting temperature-control fluid (6) through the inlet channel (5); - an outlet channel (9) for temperature-control fluid (6) that has been transported via the inlet channel (5) by means of the conveying unit (8). Above all, the convection device (1) is characterised in that, during use, in relation to the workpiece receptacle (3), the inlet channel (5) is remote from the workpiece, and the outlet channel (9) is close to the workpiece. The invention also relates to a cooling method for a workpiece. The convection device proposed here allows for a targeted temperature control of a workpiece during deposition welding using a high-power laser.
